Staff Selection Commission (SSC) was established in 1975 as a subordinate office under the Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India. Headquartered in New Delhi, SSC conducts recruitment examinations for various Group B and Group C posts in ministries, departments and organizations of the Government of India. The commission operates through regional offices across major cities and is responsible for recruiting non-gazetted posts in the central government.
