Correction Policy
Sarkari BLO is committed to publishing accurate, verified information. Despite our verification process, errors do sometimes occur - dates change after publication, links break, vacancy counts get revised in corrigenda, and small typing mistakes slip through review. This Correction Policy explains how we handle errors, how readers can report them and what transparency standards we follow when we make corrections.
This policy works together with our Editorial Policy and applies to all content published on sarkariblo.com.
1. Our Commitment
When we publish something that turns out to be wrong, we correct it. We do not delete posts to hide errors, we do not silently rewrite paragraphs to make past mistakes disappear, and we do not blame readers for trusting incorrect information. The faster a correction reaches our readers, the less damage an error can cause - so speed and transparency are both treated as part of accuracy itself.
2. Types of Corrections
Not all errors are the same. We treat them in two categories.
2.1 Major Corrections
A major correction is any change that could affect a reader's ability to apply on time, submit the correct fee, qualify for the position, download the right document or take action on a scheme. Examples include:
- Wrong application start date, last date or examination date.
- Wrong application fee or fee category.
- Wrong eligibility criteria - age limit, qualification, percentage requirement or experience required.
- Wrong total vacancy count or post-wise breakup.
- Wrong selection process details or exam pattern.
- Wrong official apply link, result link, admit card link or download link.
- Wrong scheme eligibility, benefit amount, application portal or document checklist.
- Wrong contact details of the recruiting body or scheme office.
Major corrections are highlighted with a visible correction note at the top of the post, dated, and stating what was corrected. The "Last Updated" date on the post is also revised.
2.2 Minor Corrections
A minor correction is a change that does not affect the meaning or accuracy of the information a reader will act on. Examples include:
- Spelling, grammar or punctuation fixes.
- Formatting adjustments such as table alignment or heading hierarchy.
- Broken internal links replaced with working ones.
- Image alt-text updates.
- Minor sentence rewording for clarity, where the underlying fact is unchanged.
Minor corrections are made silently and are not flagged with a correction note, because they do not change what the reader needs to know or do.
3. Distinguishing Corrections From Updates
It is important to distinguish a correction from an update.
- A correction fixes information that was wrong at the time it was published.
- An update reflects new information that has changed after publication - for example, an official corrigendum extending the application date or revising the vacancy count.
Updates are added to the post with an update note that records the date and the change. Both corrections and updates are visible in our editorial history for the post.
4. How to Report an Error
If you find an error in any post on Sarkari BLO, we appreciate the report. Please share the following so we can verify and act quickly:
- The exact URL of the post where the error appears.
- A clear description of what is wrong - quote the specific sentence, date, link or figure if possible.
- The correct information, with the official source link where you found it (notification PDF, official portal page, press release).
- Your name and email address so we can acknowledge receipt and follow up if needed.
You can send error reports through our Contact Us page or directly to contact@sarkariblo.com.
5. Our Response Timelines
We aim to follow the timelines below for every correction report. Actual response times depend on report volume and the complexity of verification, but our standard targets are:
- Acknowledgement of report: within 1 working day of receipt.
- Verification against the official source: within 1 working day of acknowledgement.
- Correction made on the post: immediately on verification, and in any case within 24 hours of report receipt for major errors.
- Correction made for broken links: within 24 hours of report receipt or as soon as the official replacement link is identified.
- Minor corrections: typically actioned within 2 to 3 working days.
If a reported issue cannot be verified against an official source, we will respond to the reader explaining what we checked and why no change was made.
6. Correction Note Format
When we publish a major correction, the correction note at the top of the post follows a clear format. It identifies what was corrected, what the corrected information is, and the date of the correction. We do not use vague language like "minor edits made" for changes that affect substance.
An example of how a correction note typically reads on Sarkari BLO:
Correction Note (17 May 2026): An earlier version of this post listed the application last date as 28 May 2026. The correct date as per the official notification is 18 May 2026. The post has been updated.
7. What We Will Not Do
For the sake of full transparency, we want to be clear about what is not acceptable practice on Sarkari BLO.
- We will not silently delete a post to hide an error. If a post is taken down, the reason is recorded.
- We will not rewrite a published claim to make it look as if the error never happened.
- We will not refuse to correct a verified error because the post is already ranking on search engines or generating traffic.
- We will not delay a correction to favour any advertiser, partner or external party.
- We will not respond to a correction report by ignoring it. Every genuine report receives at least an acknowledgement.
8. Honest Mistakes vs. Deliberate Misinformation
We treat honest mistakes seriously but understand they are a normal part of publishing at scale. The framework above is designed to fix honest mistakes quickly and openly.
If a reader or third party believes that any content on Sarkari BLO is deliberately false, malicious or defamatory, that is a separate matter and should be raised through our Contact Us page with the specific concern and supporting details. Such reports are reviewed at a senior editorial level.
9. Contact for Corrections
For all correction reports and accuracy concerns, please use the following:
- Email: contact@sarkariblo.com
- Contact Page: sarkariblo.com/contact-us
- Subject line suggestion: "Correction Report - [Post URL or short title]"
A clear subject line helps your report reach the right editor faster.
This Correction Policy is published alongside our Editorial Policy to make our accuracy standards transparent to every reader. Thank you for helping us keep Sarkari BLO accurate.
